A guide to a balanced town

So you have 4 towns and you regularly upgrade your towns when you have enough marble. Great but now you are ready to move into the big leagues.
What I'm about to tell you is no secret but it will help you along the way.

• SAVE UP YOUR RESOURCES!!!!!!!!!
  
• now that you have enough resources to upgrade all of your governors residences in anticipation of your next colony.
  
• trust me you will need another colony (preferably marble)
  
• NOW ITS TIME TO GET THAT OTHER COLONY!!!!!!!!!!
  
• GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now mine that marble to do some casual upgrades on all your towns (port, barracks, tavern ,museum)
  

here is a town pattern for yous

marble
wine
sulfur (for GR and palace upgrades)
glass
marble
wine
wine
marble
wine (if you ever make it this far)

once you have marble upgrade all your town halls to be a minimum of 12 to get all all the resources you can off of it
advanced players would want to continue until they are able to make a mobile colony, get a palace and a few GRs to waste, and you are set to go.
DO NOT horde, no matter how good your defenses, save for what you need and USE IT, Age Of Empires is a game to horde, Ikariam is not. make your production as high as possible, then research, then you can waste the rest of your gold income on military.

the fastest ways to get score is to buy ships (fastest way in game) upgrade the palace, town halls, and walls, military will get you no where, its to guard the safe, not be the safe.

when you see resources to spend, spend it. don't stop with the town halls at any point, if you can upgrade them, do it.

there is no real town pattern, its based on your needs, just make sure you get what you need.
